“Greener” on the Other Side
As the saying goes “the grass isn’t always GREENER on the other side”. 9 times out of 10 that statement may hold true….but for that 1 time, it gives hope that their may be greener pastures on the other side. It’s similar to the 80/20 rule…
What looks like it may be the best on the surface is actually the worst in disguise. Why does one take the bait? Is temptation that great of a force that if presented at the most dire time, it could persuade the strongest of minds? Or could it be the illusion of developing that excitement of having that new toy to play with only to realize that once it’s broken in, there’s something better on the market? Regardless, even if the grass isn’t greener on the other side (in most cases), the possibility of it being true will be more than enough to make it a considerable option. What would be greater, the risk of losing everything and gaining nothing in return, or the risk of losing everything to gain even more….is it really a risk, is it reality, is it worth consideration? Should a person be content with what they already have in front of them, or does being content lead to being routine, which may then lead to what “IS” really on the other side?
